For Lela the naming of the collection often has a serendipitous relation to the other elements of the collection including imagery. Sometimes she will have a writer to collaborate with her to create a story or poem but for the ‘This Crooked Way’ collection she didn't so we incorporated a line from Chaucer's 'Canterbury Tales', "if that yow be so leef—To finde Deeth, turne up this croked wey… (if you should desire to find death, turn up this crooked way).
